What's New? Updated 06/06/08

Rita will be at the 2008 Mulvane Mountain/Plains Art Fair in Topeka, KS this weekend.
The Events page has been updated to reflect her show schedule through August.

5/3/08 Update:
Wow, it's been quite a while since we've updated the web site. We had an unexpected
death in the family this spring. And family responsibilities have kept us from being
fully engaged in the art. We do appreciate your patience!

To recap our spring, we had a nice show at Ward Parkway in February. And we're
currently gearing up for a show in Tulsa, OK. We're looking forward to getting out
of the studio!!

Rita has started painting in oils. She currently has eight pieces done and several
more in progress. We've totally redone the online galleries. The first page in
gallery are her new oils. The remaining six gallery pages represent her watercolors.
So be sure to check out her new oils and new watercolors!!

Rita and I have been doing the art together now for several years. And yes, one of
my jobs has been to maintain her web site. If you would like to see my work, visit
my web site, www.slohr.com and check out my gallery!

Thank you for visiting our web sites!

How did Rita do that?

As Rita interacts with clients and other artists, frequently she fields questions
about how she does some of her work. In an attempt to assist you, we've begun
to document the various stages of the painting process. Unfortunately, the web
images never do the painting justice. When you view the painting in person, it
is much more vibrant and rich than what you see on the computer monitor!

For now, it includes the following:

15. Aspen Retreat (updated 01/26/08)

14. Along the Way (updated 08/04/07)

13. Winter Scenes (updated 04/28/07)

12. Contented (updated 02/17/07)

11. Fall Storm (updated 11/11/06)

Visit the Archives page for more how-to's.
